Neal Hughes is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art (University of the Arts) and early in his career he did illustration as well as fine art, polishing his skills while doing book covers, advertising and editorial illustration. He has also completed numerous private commissions as well as major commissions for the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team and The National Civil War Museum.
