Hidden Away

I came across the trucks in this painting hidden away in an old barn in Southern New Jersey. I had stopped at the farm and got permission to paint there. I was looking at some fields, old barns and sheds and thinking that I was hoping for something a little more interesting.

Then I noticed an old truck in one of the barns. I walked in and realized there was hidden treasure in that barn. A whole row of vintage farm trucks! One of the farm hands told me the trucks had been scattered around the farm and the owner had decided to move all of them into this barn to help preserve them.

Like sleeping relics of the past they were waiting to be discovered and I felt that I had accomplished my mission that day.
